TRIBUNNEWS.COM – A powerful explosion hit a mosque in the city of Kunduz, Afghanistan on Friday (8/10/2021).

“We have received more than 90 injured patients and more than 15 bodies, but the numbers will change. We are still receiving more people,” said a Doctors Without Borders (MSF) hospital worker.

Zalmai Alokzai, a local businessman who rushed to the Kunduz Provincial Hospital to check if the doctor needed a blood donor.
“I saw more than 40 bodies,” he said.
“Ambulances will return to the scene to pick up the dead.”
A worker at an MSF hospital said it was possible the death toll could rise.
“Hundreds of people gathered at the main gate of the hospital and wept for their relatives, but the Taliban gunmen were trying to prevent that in case of another explosion,” he said.
