An explosion caused a lot of damage last night at Derde Oosterparkstraat in Oost. The door of the building was blown out and the windows of several homes were also shattered. Photos show that the parked vehicles in front of the door were damaged.
The explosive went off around 1am last night. Residents say they heard a ‘huge bang’. That explosion also caused a lot of damage. The windows in the building were blown out up to at least the third floor, and windows were also broken in the two adjacent apartment complexes.
The sidewalk and parking spaces in front of the building are therefore littered with glass. A parked car in front of the door suffered extensive damage and the front of a scooter was also broken.
The police investigated the complex and, among others, the Explosives Safety Team Leader (TEV) was called in. No one has been arrested yet.
