If you choose to side with Solomon Reed during the Phantom Liberty main quest, you will eventually be given a mission called Somewhat Damaged. At one point, you’ll have a conversation with netrunner Son So Mi in a recreation of the Brooklyn apartment she lived in before Idris Elba’s character recruited her.
As popular experimenters have found out, if you play the game on a PC with a mod installed that allows you to pass through the walls of an apartment, you may find yourself on the streets of New York. Naturally, as conceived by the designers, you should not be there, so you will not meet a single NPC – only a few cars are parked on the streets.
According to one member of the Reddit thread: All four streets and buildings have collision maps so they can be walked on (including rooftops). The CynoSure Core is also located right outside So Mi’s apartment – that’s if you want to explore the CynoSure facility without being chased by a psychotic AI-controlled killer robot.
