What does a sexual health center do?
A place of listening, advice and medical consultation, the sexual health centre, formerly known as the family planning and education centre, is open to young people who have a request for anything directly or indirectly related to romantic relationships. and sexuality. A health professional can be consulted free of charge and in complete confidentiality.
Understand and speak:
- romantic and sexual relationships,
- couple and family life,
- sexually transmitted infections (IS),
- methods of contraception,
- of pregnancy,
- marital, sexual, family violence,
- your request for voluntary termination of pregnancy (abortion),
- addictions, bereavement…
Consult for:
- gynecological follow-up,
- birth control (condom, pill, etc.),
- emergency contraception (morning after pill),
- screening, treatment (IST, SIDA),
- a pregnancy test,
- support in the event of an abortion,
- marriage and family counseling.
Depending on your request, several professionals may be at your disposal: doctor, marriage and family counsellor, sage-wife, social worker, secretary.
They are all subject to confidentiality.
Marriage and family counseling:
It accompanies you at every stage of your relational, emotional and sexual life. It offers time for listening and reflection, neutral and confidential, alone, as a couple or as a family with a marriage counsellor. Marriage and family counselors receive you free of charge in the 6 sexual health centres.
