An Emirati writer, theatrical and media personality, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Public Administration from the UAE University in 1985. He won several awards in many countries through the presentation of his plays, and his play “The Day Gone”, directed by Muhammad Al-Amiri, won the award of the thirteenth session of the Arab Theater Festival in The city of Casablanca, Morocco.
Ismail Abdullah talks about his vision for writing the play “Mayadir”, written by him and directed by Hassan Rajab, during the play’s presentation at the Cultural Complex in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi – UAE.

The play includes a touching story that expresses the friendship and strength of relationships between a group of childhood friends who grew up together in the same neighborhood and went to the same school, but their lives took different paths and they gradually separated from each other.
After years of no contact, a friend takes the initiative to bring them all together again on a boat trip. This reunion helps revive their old memories and rekindle their friendship bonds. Throughout the play, various characters’ responses to life’s stresses are explored, providing an insightful and telling insight into the human condition.

Director Hassan Ragab also excelled in deepening this situation through the directing scene, which he succeeded in with great skill, as he was able to develop distinct solutions and approaches through a comprehensive vision of the work, integrated use of the elements of the show, and dealing with the characters of the theatrical work in a simple way, expressing the work with a painting. Integrated artistry, in terms of the rich and diverse text with human gestures and poetic touches, as well as the brilliant directing action, where the audience interacted with the work from its beginning until the end.
