Exploring the Poetics of Movement in Argentine Experimental Cinema and Video: Artists, Works, and Aesthetic Approaches

Poetics of movement It gives visibility to an object that has been excluded from most classic audiovisual studies: Argentine experimental cinema and video. Starting from the problematization of the notion of experimentality and the dialogue with contemporary debates on the subject, it creates an inventory and builds a possible cartography of artists – from Byrón, Hirsch, Caldini, Fischerman or Ludueña to Subero, Denegri, Egurza or Jitrik –, works, aesthetic approaches, legacies, circuits and places of exhibition of experimental cinema and video, which give it a common identity.
