For a long time, women were excluded from medical and neuropsychological examinations. Their hormone balance would be complicated and therefore impractical for scientific studies. The logical consequence is that knowledge about the influence of female hormones is lacking.
Professor of neurocognitive clinical psychology Ellen de Bruijn is now changing that. She will investigate the influence of female hormones on their behavior and the brain.
