Ultra-processed foods contain all kinds of additives and preservatives and undergo a lot of industrial processes before they reach you.

And in recent years it has become increasingly apparent that these highly processed foods increase the risk of a number of serious diseases, such as diabetes, cancer and dementia.

But now an important new study, published in the renowned scientific journal The Lancet, see that there may be a few exceptions to the maligned products that may actually have health benefits.
