Nice of you to state your own gut feeling as fact. Of course it doesn’t work that way. There are many other reasons why this occurs. For example, it can be due to the brand / type of SD card (some become considerably warmer than others), to certain characteristics of data transfer (small bursts or long transfers), it can be a measurement error / estimation error, a bug in the software, an error in the hardware and so on. Before you accuse someone or a company, you will really have to come up with objective substantiation and facts.
