Exploring the Attractive and Diverse Territory of Entre Bièvre et Rhône

The community of communes Entre Bièvre et Rhône has 37 communes and more than 67,000 inhabitants. An attractive and diverse territory which extends over 400 km2, in the heart of the Rhône valley.

Born in 2019, following the merger of the communities of communes of Pays Roussillonnais and the Territoire de Beaurepaire, the community of communes Entre Bièvre et Rhône (Eber) was able to find its identity, rich in its diversity and its specificities. Bordered by the Rhône river to the west and extending to the Bièvre to the east, this unique territory is ideally located in the Lyon – Valence – Grenoble triangle, close to motorway infrastructure. The second largest freight port in the Rhône valley, the Inspira multimodal industrial-port site in Salaise-sur-Sanne is also one of its undeniable assets.

Territorial project

Between towns and villages, chemical centers and agricultural plains, wooded hillsides and industries, this territory crossed by the ViaRhôna draws its strength from its complementarity. Attractive and dynamic, Entre Bièvre et Rhône has thus developed a real territorial project, with a political desire for development throughout the territory, taking into account in particular mobility issues, the development of housing and public services. , alongside that of economic and industrial activities, but also health issues, in particular medical deserts.
