The storyteller and novelist Saleha Obaid browses through the book of life, prowls places, and dives into the depths of the human soul, as she scans faces to capture her thoughts from the reality that is full of wonders, and everything is solved in it, but in her storytelling she touches with extreme sensitivity what the reader needs, as she braids her intense sentence without Following fixed rules or templates, which puts them in a different framework, so she goes away from others in selecting ideas for her new stories, as she belongs to the original narrative through which she began her journey, and established a creative form of her own, in addition to her involvement in the field of novel writing that she refines when its elements are complete. And the last vision consists of him, and this is what makes her plan these days for a fictional work of another fabric in idea and content, and as soon as she completes her current narrative projects in the short story and novel, she seeks to publish what she has written to put it in the hands of readers.
Salha Obeid’s imagination does not leave the new cities with their buildings and human worlds; So she searches in her corridors for the hidden secrets that make up her civilization, architecture, and culture, and the movement that takes place in it, and the joys or gloom that stirs faces, or other preoccupations, as she sees everyone in a race towards achieving hopes and dreams, which is what makes her short stories arenas for contemplation. As she writes these days what besieges her intellectually, and makes her consistent with her taste in choosing vocabulary and composition in language, and digging deeply into the body of the idea, in search of new writing that flies outside the ready-made frameworks and accepted postulates in narrative writing, as she is more inclined to experiment, and among the stories that ended From her writing in the current period, “Lazy Heart, Home”; She hopes to finish her short storyboards in time so she can consider putting them into a book.
And about her new fictional work that she is currently planning, she is captive to the idea, and flows with confidence as she steps towards another narrative work, so she stands on the edge of a radiant light as she draws the course of the characters, and defines their time frame, and she is armed with her artistic tools in experimentation, as she believes that the new writing that It flies away from the flock, and it is what makes the writer readable to him, because it is convinced that times are changing, and that the creator has to work hard on his literary work so as not to drown in the vortex of repetition, as she walks on soft sands, but she realizes that long narrative writing is a mixture of reality that bears a dream. Storms fluctuate in it, and the human heart squeezes pain in it, and the necessities of adapting to this renewed world oblige the writer to be honest with himself and with what he writes.
By the nature of her cultural formation, she reads voraciously, and currently reads more stories and novels, but she devotes every Friday to reading poetry only, because she sees it as a supply of thought in its intense and high language.
