Millicent “Millie” McKinley,formerly of 9 Myrtlefield Road,Kilfennan,passed away peacefully at Oakleaf Nursing Home,surrounded by her loving family,in her 92nd year. The passing of this long-time resident marks a significant loss for the Donegal community.
Mrs. McKinley, the dearly beloved wife of the late robert McKinley, leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her children, David, Sandra, and Norman; her daughters-in-law, Elizabeth and George; and her grandchildren, craig, Adam, and Joshua.Her great-grandchildren, Harriet, Arlo, Jax, and Hugo, also mourn her passing. The extensive family she leaves behind speaks volumes about her dedication to family life.
Funeral arrangements are as follows: The funeral will leave her son Norman’s home at 11 Arden Place, Woodburn, on Thursday, February 20th, at 11:30 a.m. A Service of Thanksgiving for her life will be held at St.Peter’s Parish Church, Culmore Road, at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. The community is invited to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter’s Parish Church, c/o Parish Office, Anglia Dobbins, Culmore Road, Londonderry, BT48 8JB, or to Dementia N.I., c/o NICVA Building, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast, BT15 2GB.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at her son Norman’s home on Wednesday, February 19th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
