Outings – Leisure – Tourism Activities all year round in Parc de Loire
The Loire Park is Charlemagne Island, but not only that! Freshly redeveloped by Orléans Métropole, the 340-hectare urban natural park extends from the Tourelles trail in the west to the fishing ponds in the east, and notably includes the Fil de Loire and its 7 km of promenade along of the river, between Orléans and Saint-Denis-en-Val, as well as numerous facilities. An ideal site for walking or cycling, picnicking, fishing, sailing, playing beach volleyball, pétanque or tree climbing, observing nature…
With the return of sunny days, the site becomes essential, and the activities offered are more and more numerous. Every Sunday, from 10 a.m. to noon, members of the ultimate section of the ASPTT offer the public initiations au discgolfon the course specially created for the practice of this fun, accessible and family discipline, a mix of disc throwing (Frisbee) and golf, where baskets replace holes.
