Your holiday guide gets to grips with prehistory in Aquitaine, blues with Chris Isaak in Cognac and DJ-style ecology in Touraine.

The exhibition on prehistoric art from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean takes us through 400,000 years of history from Portugal to the other side of the Pyrenees. The visit is done in a fun way, to better understand the purpose of the exhibits. Vincent Mistrot, curator of the exhibition lists: “We have 400 original objects and 150 casts of prehistoric objects. Among them: bones, stones, shells, all engraved with images of animals, humans or geometric objects. This exhibition continues until January 7 at the Musée d’Aquitaine in Bordeaux, accessible by the A10.

A little further north, the Cognac Blues Passions festival celebrates its 30th anniversary, with a hundred concerts throughout the city. Among the artists from all over the world, there is a beautiful headliner: Chris Isaak… and also some excellent French people like MC Solar, Imany or even M. Cognac Blues passion, these are 6 days of festivities until Sunday 9 July. It can also be reached by the A10.

And if you go up this same highway, just south of Tours, the castle of Candé hosts its ”Terres du son” festival, with a constellation of stars: Orelsan, Lomepal, Bob Sinclar, Shaka Ponk… The festival deploys an eco – completely free village, with association meetings, the presence of a peasant collective, an old-fashioned funfair. Terres du son gives voice until Sunday July 9, at the Château de Candé, in Monts, very close to Tours.
