Merdeka.com – The solar system in the universe is so vast. Inhabited by billions of planets and stars. Humans are a small part of this universe.

To get to know more about the solar system, especially the Milky Way galaxy, NASA has an overview of the planets in general through a 3D view.

Through the 3D shape, we can understand in detail such as size, distance from the sun, length of year, and so on in real terms.

3D image created by NASA, showing 7 planets and moons. Starting from Earth, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, and the moon. The following is the shape of the 3D view of each planet.

Earth

Earth is so far the only place known to be habitable to living things. This planet is also the only planet in the solar system that has lots of water on its surface.

Jupiter

Jupiter is twice as big as the other planets in the solar system combined. The Great Red Spot on the giant planet is a centuries-old storm larger than Earth.

Mercury

From the surface of Mercury, the Sun will appear larger when viewed from Earth and the sun’s rays will be 11 times brighter.

Mars

Mars is a dusty, cold, desert planet with a very thin atmosphere. There is strong evidence that Mars billions of years ago was wetter and warmer, with a thicker atmosphere.

Venus

Venus is a planet that is similar in structure and size to Earth. Venus has a thick Venusian atmosphere as well as the result of an out-of-control greenhouse effect. Therefore, this planet is ‘claimed’ as the hottest planet in our solar system.

Saturn

Adorned with an intricate and dazzling system of ice rings. That’s why Saturn is a unique planet in our solar system. The other giant planets have rings, but none as spectacular as Saturn.

Neptune

Neptune is the eighth and most distant major planet orbiting the Sun. As a result, this planet feels dark, cold, and is often hit by supersonic winds

Moon

The moon, which is often seen, is said to be the fifth largest in the solar system.

Everyone can try the 3D view of the planets in the solar system made by NASA. The goal is not only for research, but also as education to the public.

How to? Here are the steps to try a realtime 3D view of the planets in the solar system:

  1. Enter the website address
  2. Select ‘Planets’ and decide which planetary destinations to explore
  3. After that, feel free to explore the planets of the solar system
