Explore and Play at the New York Science Hall: Reopening of the Science Playground and Upcoming Cultural Festival

Generations of New Yorkers have learned and played at the New York Science Hall in Corona, Queens.

One of the most popular attractions is the Science Playground, which recently reopened.

The Science Playground first closed in the winter of 2019 for renovations, remained closed due to the pandemic, and then suffered severe damage during flooding caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida.

It features a variety of equipment, such as a sensory dome that children can enjoy regardless of their physical abilities, a giant nest, and the tallest wave tower in the tri-state area.

The New York Hall of Science is located at 47-01 111th Street, Queens.

Regular hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The entry limit time is 4 in the afternoon.

General admission prices are $22 for adults, and $19 for children, students and people over 65 years of age.

These prices do not include special attractions such as the Science Games Park. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to the nysci.org website.

Lovers of culture and literature have an appointment with the “Dominicana Libro and Culture Festival”, which will be held this weekend until Sunday, November 5, at the Lehman College Music Building in The Bronx.

“Dominicana Libro and Culture Festival” is organized by the Commissioner of Culture of the Dominican Republic in the United States, Rey Andújar.

On Saturday, the Puerto Rican publishing house Isla Negra, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, will have a conversation with several of its authors at seven in the evening.

That same Saturday, from noon to seven at night, the authors of Isla Negra and Editores will share with the public and sign books.
