The boy was cold, but otherwise in good condition when he was found by Red Cross crews and the Armed Forces.
Police reported the search action on Twitter at 11.30pm on Tuesday night.
The 10-year-old was reported missing from a house in Myre in Vesterålen.
The search took place in the areas from Myre to Strengelvåg and from Myre to Alsvåg.
– In connection with the action, we receive assistance from the ambulance, fire brigade, Red Cross, Norwegian rescue dogs and the Norwegian Armed Forces. More drones are being used in the search operation, police wrote on Twitter.
