Representative Michel Daher pointed out in a statement on social media that “there are types of crime, and it may take the form of exploitation of cancer patients whose medications are sold for many times their price, in an inhumane exploitation of people’s pain.”

And Daher added: “Be merciful to people, especially cancer patients, and make reasonable profits. This medicine from Pfizer is sold for $4,500 in Lebanon, and in India it is sold for $1,100, four times its price in Lebanon. The Minister of Health in the caretaker government, friend Firas Al-Abyad. Confronting the pharmaceutical mafia, and we are with it.”
