Nineteen months have passed since Dávid Sigér suffered a serious injury, tearing his cruciate ligament. The 32-year-old Ferencváros midfielder recovered and returned to the green and white team, but his situation is not easy.
– Recently, I was a member of the starting team in three consecutive matches, I spent almost ninety minutes on the field, in order to regain my old form, that’s what I miss the most. There are things that cannot be developed further with training, matches are needed to feel even better in my own skin and to come up with good solutions.
In NB I, Ferencváros won 2-0 in Debrecen on February 26, Sigér was back in the starting team after a long time, he also started against Mezőkövesd (1-1) and Puskás Akadémia (1-2), most recently In Zalaegerszeg (0-1), however, he did not get a chance.
“Unfortunately, the whole team performed poorly against the Puskás Academy. When we fell behind by two goals at home, it was understandable that a change was needed, after an hour of playing I was also replaced, and players with a more attacking spirit arrived. Unfortunately, they voted for others in the next championship, but they didn’t win either.
