Time travel or time travel apparently not impossible for the mathematician, Kurt Godel. Albert Einstein’s friend judged time travel can be done even though there are conditions.
Godel was a friend and neighbor of Einstein. He was intrigued by Einstein’s theory of general relativity, which continues to be the modern formulation of the force of gravity.
Collect Universe Today, the theory of relativity, which is a powerful framework for examining the nature of space and time, has actually declared time travel to the past impossible. But Godel remained curious about this possibility.
Godel also found that the general theory of relativity has no problem with time travel to the past. The trick is to set the Universe in motion.
He then constructed a relatively simple model of the Universe to prove his point. This became known as the Godel Universe.
The universe in Godel’s model contains one building block, namely the negative cosmological constant which resists the centrifugal rotational force to keep the universe at rest.
Godel discovered that if you follow a certain trajectory in a rotating universe, you can end up in your own past. You will also have to travel an incredible distance of billions of light years to do so.
When you walk, you will be caught in the rotation of the universe. This rotation is not just the rotation of objects in the cosmos, but space and time itself.
In short, the rotation of the Universe will be so strong that it can disrupt your travel route. As a result, you will return to the starting point of the journey but in the past.
The possibility of traveling back in time creates a paradox and contradicts human understanding of the law of causality. Fortunately, all observations have proven that the Universe is not rotating.
However, it remains a mystery to this day that the General Theory of Relativity has no problem with this seemingly impossible phenomenon. Using his modelling, Godel argued that the General Theory of Relativity was not complete.
About the Theory of Relativity

In the Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein said that space and time are not absolute but relative. This refers to two postulates, namely:
The first postulate states that the laws of physics are absolute and have the same nature and form in any frame of reference that is constant or not moving at all.
The second postulate states that the speed of light is constant and has a value (c = 3 x 108 m/s), besides that it does not depend on the light source or the position of the observer.
Further to the General Theory of Relativity, Einstein stated that gravity is part of space and time caused by the amount of mass that makes it curved, including the objects around it.
A simple example is a ball placed on a piece of cloth. The fabric will form a bend caused by the ball in the middle.
