The Russian army has focused on strengthening its existing defenses and developing additional defenses on the southern axis, experts explain.
“This seems to indicate that Russian troops are preparing to defend against a possible counter-attack by Ukraine and are preparing for long-term operations in the south of Ukraine,” ISW experts say.
Earlier, the Zaporizhia Oblast War Administration reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to fortify new positions and push the enemy south.
