Suara.com – A study found insomnia can be an early warning sign of a fatal condition. Sleep disturbance This appears to be more common in people who have cerebral hemorrhage turn off.
Although experts say more research is needed, it means that certain factors can increase the risk of brain bleeding, such as smoking and high blood pressure.
There are different types of insomnia, sometimes of shorter duration. However, there are also those who experience severe insomnia that interferes with daily life.
Researchers at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, are investigating the potential link between insomnia and brain aneurysm which broke.

The medical term for an aneurysm that develops in the brain is intracranial aneurysm, which occurs most often in those over the age of 40 and mostly in women.
Most of these aneurysms will not rupture and may go undetected. Experts believe between one in five per cent of the population in the UK have a brain aneurysm.
When these aneurysms rupture, about 2.5 percent of cases cause serious bleeding, known as a subarachnoid hemorrhage. About three in five people who develop a subarachnoid hemorrhage die within two weeks.
Meanwhile, the NHS says half of people with aneurysms survive despite severe brain damage and disability.
Lead author of the new study, Dr Susanna Larsson, said ruptured aneurysms could be fatal. Therefore, it is important to identify risk factors to help prevent aneurysm rupture.

Dr Larsson and team used data from several studies to identify factors that could trigger dangerous brain aneurysms, ranging from sleep disturbances, coffee consumption, exercise, BMI and cholesterol.
“Previously, the relationship between insomnia and intracranial aneurysms has not been reported. This finding also requires confirmation of further research,” said Dr. Larsson quoted from The Sun.
You need to understand that the risk of a brain aneurysm is higher in smokers and people with high blood pressure, but not for those with high cholesterol or BMI.
Moreover, insomnia and other sleep disorders can increase blood pressure which is at risk of causing brain aneurysms. When you sleep, your blood pressure drops.
This means that sleep problems can cause a long-term rise in blood pressure. Insomnia and other sleep deprivations have also been linked to premature death.
The NHS says the best way to avoid brain aneurysms and blood vessel ruptures is to keep the blood vessels healthy. Starting from quitting smoking, avoiding high-fat foods, controlling blood pressure, and weight.
