Tourism industry warns of higher prices and more crowds

AMSTERDAM – Shortened summer holidays and longer Christmas holidays will make for more expensive holidays and days out. Experts in the tourism industry warn about this in response to the cabinet plan to lift a summer week to the Christmas holidays in view of corona. “You have to go really far during the Christmas period if you want to go to the sun. That is expensive, and therefore reserved for the few.” The sector is very upset. “It feels like a knife in the back.”
