Participants reviewed the relationship between security and climate, the tangible effects of climate change on global food and water security, as well as new security challenges arising from the climate crisis.
The speakers stressed that security and defense agencies play an important role in protecting societies from the dangers of climate change, such as natural disasters and mass migration, and that these agencies can also play a role in enhancing public awareness of the climate crisis and its dangers, pointing to the need to change the behavior of the general public, Especially with regard to food and water, so that our behaviors become more sustainable, especially with regard to our consumption of food and water, because this will help reduce the demand for resources and protect the environment.
