Gregory Magarian, professor at the University of Washington Law School, Gregory Magarian, assured a local media outlet on Thursday that despite the Senate acquitting former President Donald Trump, he faces multiple lawsuits legal for “heinous things he did” in recent years.

“The former Republican leader has already been hit by an accusation of inciting an insurrection by promoting the attack on the federal Capitol last January 6 and faces the possibility that others will come forward that will persecute him in the coming months,” said Magarian.
The analyst indicated that the ex-president could win each one of the legal processes that can be opened against him, but there would be so many that he possibly should “worry about spending all his time after the presidency flooded with litigation.”

“These are not frivolous cases,” Magarian said, emphasizing that there really is a possibility that Trump will end up facing legal liability. “This can divert you from the center of your efforts if you are trying to achieve some other political goal in your career,” he said.
Notably, shortly after the Senate voted against convicting Trump in last Saturday’s impeachment trial, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that procedure was not the right place to hold him accountable. “
“Trump is still responsible for everything he did while in office, as a common citizen, he still has not gotten away with it,” McConnell said in a speech to the Senate plenary.
