Jakarta (ANTARA) – Shoes are certainly an additional fashion statement to beautify your appearance.
Written on the InStyle page, Tuesday (2/1), stylists Chloe Griffin and Tracy Shapoff suggest recommendations for the shape of shoes or heels to create beautiful outfits with tight trousers.
Griffin believes that any shiny, closed-toe shoes will look most elegant when paired with tight trousers.
“My biggest no-nos are tights and sneakers, they remind me of being at school! Generally, the lower your heel to the floor, the higher you want to wear those heels,” she told InStyle.
Meanwhile, Shapoff says if your goal is to lengthen your legs, you should try to show more of them.
“Proportions do matter in tights and shoe style,” she says, “I like three-quarter length or ankle length dresses with high heels, so that only the tights show at the legs and ankles,” says Shapoff.

They recommend shiny slingback kitten heels that will add shine to your look and instantly make it a business outfit no matter the color of the tights.
The more neutral the color, the easier it is to combine with a variety of tights. This trend is to style a pair of small platform shoes with loose white socks over sheer black tights.
You can also try thin tights with a back seam complemented by high-heeled stiletto pumps.
Shapoff advises that when pairing tights and heels, it’s best to wear a shorter skirt or dress to really give the illusion of long legs.
Ballerina shoes are also another recommendation because they have a leg-hugging effect, especially seen in flexible leather or with toe caps, to draw attention to your feet.
Another option is Ankle boots and tights as they add shape and statement to your look. You can use this look to complete a punk moment complete with a wool jacket or leather bomber jacket.
For neutral tights, knee-high boots can be combined with leather shorts and tights, or opt for a simple mini skirt.
To differentiate and emphasize the silhouette of the shoes, mule style shoes are suitable to be combined with a mini skirt or long dress with a thin bottom so that attention is not taken away from your footwear.
Another recommendation is Mary-Jane shoes. Add contrasting ankle socks over your tights, they will accentuate the shape of your heels. Remember to choose clothes that are relatively simple on top and want to include fun elements.
Lastly the most polarizing combination is the open toe sandal. The key is to keep sandals as minimal and “overnight” as possible, with just one or two thin straps.
