More than 1,000 apartments and several schools were destroyed in the Russian rocket attack on Lozova in the Kharkiv region on Friday. But despite new attacks, Russia’s progress is small in its invasion of Ukraine. Now journalist and Russia expert Christo Grozev goes out with a clear message.
“The tops who are informed understand that the war has been lost,” Grozev said in a feature on Radio Liberty, according to Business Insider.

Can be pressed to nuclear weapons
Grozev works in the journalist collective Bellingcat, which, among other things, has the task of verifying the facts of the war in Ukraine.
If Russia is to have a chance of winning the war at all, President Vladimir Putin will need full mobilization, according to Grozev, who also denies that the use of nuclear weapons is a thing of the past.
– There are those in Putin’s inner circle who may want to pressure him to use nuclear weapons. Others, on the other hand, will say that enough is enough, and that they should not waste another 10,000 of their soldiers’ lives, says Grozev.

– Has caused major damage
The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyj, went out again this week and said that the country’s forces had inflicted heavy damage on the Russian army, despite the fact that the port city of Mariupol had been captured. Ukraine has broken the back of the Russian army, Zelenskyj said in an interview with Ukrainian television.
– They will not be able to get back on their feet in a few years, the president claims.
