According to Zaitsev, it is impossible to single out a risk group here – this is relevant for those who are in society, in contact with people. And the more contacts and the longer they are, the worse, the doctor believes. He added that a lot depends on a person’s immunity: the better he gets enough sleep, the stronger and more athletic he is, the easier it will be for him to fight the disease. Weak, elderly and sedentary people are more susceptible to these infections.

The doctor also said that it is impossible to predict the development of events when infected with two infections at once. The patient himself can tell about this after the fact. For example, a patient may have discomfort at the level of the nasopharynx when the flu has begun, and the coronavirus may connect and appear later, causing a feeling of suffocation, coughing and other signs.

Zaitsev drew attention to the fact that infection can be in one direction or in the other direction. Moreover, the contagiousness of the coronavirus is higher than that of the flu. A person infected with the coronavirus could infect another person at a farther distance than someone with the flu, the doctor warned.
