Lawyer Fidel Ordoñez pointed out that legally the concept of “technical coup d’état” does not exist; he said that this is an invention.
He affirmed that coups d’état in history have been carried out by the military or sailors or any military force in which they do not have command, but in Mexico the president has it.
He said that reporting irregularities in an election is not a technical coup d’état.
Likewise, he said that if there were irregularities in 20% of the polling stations and the cause for annulment of an election was established, it could not be said that it was a technical coup d’état.
He pointed out that the INE and the Electoral Tribunal do their job and must generate security and tranquility among Mexicans that there is no possibility of a technical coup d’état being carried out because it does not exist.
If citizens vote on July 2, someone will win and someone will lose, he stressed.
