The NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO. – The infectologist Héctor Balcácer called this Wednesday on all Dominicans living abroad to come with their influenza vaccine and the new vaccine against covid to prevent infection processes.

“People who are going to come to the Dominican Republic from abroad, come with their vaccine applied and if you understand it, apply the new coronavirus vaccine,” said Balcácer.

Likewise, the internist called on the population to stay informed by the instructions of health entities and urged not to take advantage of those posts published by people who believe themselves to be experts in health issues.

Balcácer also said that respiratory processes will increase due to contaminated water and people who were in shelters, in the same way outbreaks may occur in community spaces.

“We must recognize that the greatest value that each human being has is their health, so we are going to try to prevent diseases by following the recommendations of our authorities,” said the infectious disease specialist.

The doctor revealed in an interview that the Ministry of Public Health has applied 470 thousand doses and has tried to inseminate them in all spaces, but Dominicans do not have that tradition of getting vaccinated after becoming adults.
