On Monday, Norrköping met Gothenburg.
After a good start by the away team, Beijing then completely took over and won comfortably with 3–0.
In Discovery, several were critical of how Blåvitt’s game fell apart.
– There was no talk of Norrköping controlling this match after 1-0. The second half is not up to Allsvenskan level for Gothenburg. Their inability to score is decisive, noted expert Johan Arneng in Discovery.
Mikael Stahre, who was fired as coach for Gothenburg before the season, is also an expert in the same channel.
Nor did he hold back on the criticism:
– You feel that they (IFK Göteborg) are not getting a hit on the whole thing. They’re all over the damn track.
– There is a lot of speed, but the fine technical quality is missing, above all from Santos and Norlin. To think that you can win five or six games now without Marcus Berg is not possible. I understand the big picture with his history, but he has to be there.
Already earlier in the season, the television channel has been questioned for the choice of Stahre as an expert during his former team’s matches. Among other things, midfielder Sebastian Eriksson has criticized just that.
– It is clear that IFK Göteborg is a sensitive subject considering that it has not been that long since he left. But you can’t have an expert who can’t comment on certain teams and, above all, strong teams like IFK Göteborg in the Allsvenskan, explained Pär Andersson, head of football at Discovery, to TT in April.
Stahre: “Just a few games”
When Stahre appeared in the TV box during Blåvitt’s last match, the opinions gained new air, not least on social media.
Mikael Stahre now says to Expressen:
– Discovery has hired me and we have had a discussion about which matches I should take part in. I want to be loyal to them, and want to carry out this mission professionally. I have only had a few matches where Gothenburg has been involved, says Stahre.
So you never hesitated to say yes?
– There has never been a discussion, so it doesn’t work. I trust Discovery’s judgment.
But it must still be said that you are still close to Gothenburg – shouldn’t you and the channel therefore have waited?
– After all, I have solid experience of Allsvenskan football. That is why they have hired me. I try to be factual and objective. In addition, we are the majority of experts on each match.

Stahre: “Always things that bother you”
Mikael Stahre further believes that “it’s just a matter of making an analysis regardless of which law applies”.
– I know how much the clubs mean to the fans. Then there are always different things that bother you. It can be, for example, individuals, coaches or management. I know it’s a lot of emotion, it’s really something I got to feel during my time as a coach at the elite level.
Do people come up to you now and have opinions about your work?
– I have been part of that for 20 years. It’s nothing that has disturbed my everyday life. It is extremely rare that I have experienced things as threatening. Something that applied during the whole time I was a public person when it comes to football.
Do you have any responsibility for Gothenburg being a crisis team today?
– I cannot feel any responsibility when I am not a coach and coaching the team. After all, it’s been six months since we went our separate ways. I have not coached the team during the Allsvenskan this year.
Do you know if you are going to provide expert commentary on Gothenburg some more during the autumn?
– No.
