Military expert Roman Svitan believes that law enforcement officers and representatives of the state apparatus should be removed from the special register and drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan called the dismissal of all regional military commissars complete idiocy.
“Naturally, because of this, the mobilization was stopped. It will not be possible to return everything back. But it is necessary to lessen the blow and appoint all the first deputies of regional military commissars as acting ones and deploy them for internal consumption, that is, remove the special registration from law enforcement officers and representatives of the state apparatus and call them up Armed Forces of Ukraine”, – stated military expert on the air of the TV channel “Direct”.
According to Svitan, such a step would allow performing two tasks simultaneously. The first is to stop recruiting unmotivated people from the street into the army. The entire state apparatus and all law enforcement officers receive salary from the state, which means they have one hundred percent motivation. The second task is that all these people are really ready to carry out combat missions, since they already work in the executive branch and know first-hand what execution is.
“Look at Israel. There is a correct system for building a civil service. It consists of people who have been through the Armed Forces and baptism of fire. Naturally, they will strengthen the state from within and will come into action at any moment when it is necessary to defend it. These are the methods that are needed and important to carry out the tasks of the General Staff, and whether to accept these methods or not will depend on the president, – explained the military analyst. – We will see what decision he will make: to put women in the ranks and collect unfit and unmotivated people from the streets, or in the end he will deploy all these shafts of the TCC for domestic consumption.”
Svitan also emphasized that the doors should be left open for specialists who can enter teams through recruiting centers. But these centers should not be under the TCC, but under the brigades, so it is necessary to give a certain financial cushion to the brigade commanders so that they can “buy” themselves professionals to perform combat missions.
