Several Barcelona supporters frowned at the rumors of a possible trade deal between the Spanish giant and Juventus.
The reason was that the club wanted to replace 23-year-old Arthur, who has been seen as one of the club’s heirs to Juvetus’s 30-year-old midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
On Monday, the transitions were confirmed by Barcelona.
– Barcelona depended on money by June 30 to get a balance in its accounts. They have tried to extort Ivan Rakitić, Nélson Semedo and Samuel Umtiti. They have really tried to sell everyone except Marc-André ter Stegen, Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Ansu Fati and Frenkie de Jong, La Liga expert Guillem Balagué told TV 2.
According to Balagué, Barcelona knew that Juventus was in a similar situation and contacted the club.

The profits a club receives from a sale can be credited directly to the accounts delivered at the end of the season. While the money the club spends on a player can be divided by the number of years in the contract.
The paper may appear to be a barter with Barcelona receiving NOK 109 million. But Financial Fair Play (FFP) says both clubs can report a profit of $ 545 million in their accounts.

Barcelona paid NOK 327 million for Arthur in 2018 in a six-year deal. This means that his value drops by NOK 54 million every season in accordance with FFP’s regulations.
Therefore, he is now worth NOK 219 million in Barcelona’s accounts, which means that a sale of NOK 763 million will give Barcelona a profit of NOK 545 million. This allows Barcelona to put NOK 545 million in the accounts to be delivered within the next few days.
The purchase of Pjanic does not affect this.
The Bosnian signed for four years, which allows Barcelona to spread this sum over these four years, thus writing NOK 164 million in the next four financial statements.

Juventus is in a similar situation. Miralem Pjanic was signed for NOK 381 million in 2016, the contract had a duration of five years. Which means his FFP value has been reduced by NOK 76 million every season. Thus, he was valued at NOK 228 million when Juventus signed a new five-year contract with him after two seasons.
The 228 million was then divided into five, and the value was reduced by NOK 46 million each season. A sale of NOK 654 million will then result in Juventus receiving NOK 512 million in profit.
