Expert: Anemia in Dialysis or Hemodialysis Patients Can Lead to Death

This webinar is held as a series of commemorations of World Kidney Day which falls on March 10, 2022. Etana and KPDCI consistently provide education to patients and the general public regarding kidney health.

The General Chair of KPCDI, Tony Richard Samosir, said that this kind of education is expected to increase the knowledge of dialysis so that they can choose the right therapy for themselves.

It is known that anemia is a problem for dialysis patients. One of the therapies that can be done is with EPO injection or another alternative is to do blood transfusions. S

“Hopefully hemodialysis patients can increase their knowledge about anemia therapy according to their needs and activities, in order to improve the patient’s quality of life to remain productive and always enthusiastic,” he said.
