Just out of curiosity, you can ask: how high is the probability of diagnosis, the reliability of tests and analyses? You will be surprised what they will tell you: ultrasound has the right to make mistakes. I have encountered a huge number of such errors in my practice. I can give you a recent example from a November birth. When the woman gave birth, she told her story. At 20 weeks she was screened and told that there would be a male child with Down syndrome. She did it a second time and it was confirmed. They sent her to terminate the pregnancy. The patient did not do this because she is sure that any child, even if he has some kind of pathology, has the right to life. She decided for herself that she would give birth anyway. Still, this question tormented her, she found a “bioenergy therapist”, and he confirmed with the help of his “superpowers” (this is about the reliability of the “superpower”andDenia” psychics): “Yes, you have a boy, and he suffers from Down syndrome.” And then the psychic lady uttered a terrible phrase: “It will be more environmentally friendly for you to have an abortion.”
Tell me, how do ecology and abortion go together? Where in the natural system are induced abortions performed? If the embryo is very different from the norm, in the early stages the pregnancy may be terminated on its own, because if the fetus is not viable, it itself is removed from the uterus.
The woman, even after visiting a “bioenergy therapist,” decided to keep the child. Yes, she was upset, but mentally prepared herself to raise her sick son, but then her acquaintances found the contacts of a professor (not a charlatan, as before), an ultrasound diagnostics specialist. He looked, studied everything and made a conclusion: the child was healthy, no pathologies were detected, and it was a girl. Such strange ultrasound readings. At 40 weeks, the heroine of my story gave birth to a beautiful 3.5 kg girl, no Down syndrome. Can you imagine what diagnostics is and how reliable it is?
There are many such cases when they said that you had a girl with anomalies, but two boys were born, both healthy. Even during expert ultrasounds, specialists often make mistakes.
– Modern technology, qualified doctors. Why is it that often not even errors, but errors occur?
– Because an echo cannot be reliable. What is ultrasound? This is the echo of the sound. How can it be 100% reliable? How can one decide on the basis of this diagnosis whether a person should live or not live? Let’s take the statistics of the Luch Charitable Life Foundation. The fund’s employees help mothers if they are diagnosed with child development anomalies during pregnancy, and collaborate with perinatal centers and experts to clarify or clarify the diagnosis. As of July last year, the fund had the following figures: 278 pregnancies resulted in childbirth, of which 136 children were completely normal! All these mothers were referred for abortion. 49% of children were born healthy, that is, the reliability of diagnosis is not 5% error, not 10, but almost 50%!

The Lord, nature has decreed this: these babies will live less than the rest – for some a few days or even hours, for others 8-9 months after birth. But this is their life, their whole life. Who are we to decide who lives and who dies? Who are we to decide who is healthy and who is not? We take on the role of God, and we cannot handle it. Our pride is too inflated, we think that we have modern medicine, and it accurately determines everything. Nothing of the kind, from these simple numbers you can see how high the probability of screening error is. For every healthy child there is one unhealthy one. Who said that a disabled person or a child with pathologies should be deprived of life?
– There is often an aggressive position on the Internet: people give birth with genetic pathologies, they themselves suffer and interfere with others…
– Why do we treat a child’s life this way? Are we not fighting for it? Well, let there really be Down syndrome or another anomaly. Excuse me, but what, a person with this or that disease does not have the right to life? The fascists or Nazis believed that sick people should be sent to the gas chamber. Do we have an ideology of fascism, do we not have a humane ideology? We talk about mercy, we expect mercy from the Lord, why do people with developmental disabilities need to be killed?
I understand that there is a financial reason here, because disabled people need to pay a pension for their entire lives, and therefore high-end ultrasound machines are being purchased, screenings are being expanded to prevent the birth of children with serious illnesses. Purely financial motivation. I don’t want to bother with a disabled person, no one wants to dedicate their life to caring for a disabled person, there are not many selfless, sincerely believing mothers who voluntarily do this. Here, again, is a question of worldview and faith.
By the way, it has been proven that children with Down syndrome are socialized: if you take care of them, develop them in the same way as other children, they even complete their education. We have a whole community “Children of the Sun”. If someone is faced with a choice between keeping a sick child or getting rid of him, first study the issue and talk to mothers of disabled people. Ask them how they live, what they do for their children. Parents from this community are open and make contact. You will see that children with an anomaly live and make their parents happy.
– What do you say to pro-choice supporters when they say: what should women do if they are in mortal danger due to pregnancy?
– Medicine does not stand still; we have high technologies to save mothers and children. If the heart defect is so strong that circulatory failure is already severe, then pregnancy, as a rule, does not occur. The body is not suicidal! Therefore, with circulatory failure of stages II and III, a disturbance in the reproductive sphere occurs, for example, there may be no menstrual cycles (amenorrhea) or other hypothalamic-pituitary disorders. Pregnancy does not occur in severe cases of heart disease. If a woman becomes pregnant and the situation is borderline, there are hospitals where patients with heart defects and diseases of the cardiovascular system are observed.
Even in those days when there were no such high technologies, women with heart defects and contraindications for pregnancy, contrary to the opinions of doctors, continued pregnancy and gave birth at their own peril and risk. There are many such worthy examples! Brave and selfless women were under medical supervision for the entire 9 months and did not give birth themselves, but had a gentle caesarean section, sometimes ahead of schedule. Today, newborns are cared for starting from 28 weeks without any problems at all, and there are perinatal centers where they can raise a baby from 25 weeks. It is clear that 25 weeks is not the best time for childbirth, but nevertheless they will do everything to bring it to 28 weeks, and then they will take the baby “outside”. There is always a way. Each case must be considered individually. If we put the value of the life of mother and child at the forefront, then we can consider how to help.

In the end, if there is a real threat to the life of the mother, then no one is going to exclude termination of pregnancy for medical reasons from compulsory medical insurance. They want to remove from compulsory medical insurance those cases that fit the description: “Oh, now is not the time to give birth,” “I have a one-room apartment, and it will be cramped with a child,” “We already have two, where can we get a third child?” Excluding abortion from compulsory medical insurance is for such cases, not for medical reasons, but at will. There are reasons why patients feel that the hair on their heads is moving: “We’re just getting ready to go on vacation, we’ve already bought tickets, and now we’re pregnant.” It is precisely cases like this that need to be removed from compulsory medical insurance. I’m saying this to reassure you so that they don’t think that poor Russian women will have a choice: either die or give birth. This will never happen.
– Returning to screenings and complicated pregnancies, perhaps you would like to add something?
– Every head of a medical institution is asked for numbers. Why is there a rush to an abortion with poor screening and a complicated pregnancy? The death of an infant during a natural abortion that occurs before 22 weeks is a miscarriage statistic. All deaths of an infant between 22 weeks and 7 days after birth are perinatal deaths. It is included in the infant mortality rate. The coefficient of the latter is used to determine the rating reflecting the quality of life of the population in different countries. This is exactly what doctors are chasing when they offer you to terminate your pregnancy, despite the fact that they themselves understand: these studies are not one hundred percent accurate. This is what higher management demands from them. They demand it, but what about you? Do you care about statistics, ratings? After all, this is human life. You must understand that they are not pursuing your interests, not the interests of your child, but their own – they do not want to spoil the statistics. I wanted to convey this information so that you know the hidden motives, because when they talk to you, they will give you arguments – how will you live with an unhealthy child, you will be exhausted, you will age early, you will be exhausted – they will say a lot to direct you towards abortion. Sometimes they talk rudely. Pressurely, tactlessly, violating personal boundaries.
Now there is responsibility for inducing an abortion, and if it is also “in vain,” that is, the child was born healthy, the woman can sue. So write in the statement that she was persuaded to have an abortion, and the child was born without pathologies. But no one is filing a lawsuit because he was born healthy, everyone was happy and forgot about that doctor and those nerves that were exhausted during pregnancy did not allow him to carry the pregnancy calmly and joyfully.
This is reality. You need your child’s life. If you save it, then you add this life to yours. And if you decide to take the life of a child, then not only are you erasing this child from your family, you are also impoverishing your life.
Women who have undergone these operations suffer. Morally, psychologically. It’s one thing when the Lord took him away, and another thing when you handed him over to execution with your own hands. The question arises: did I have the right to do this? This question is difficult and will arise constantly. Maybe don’t take such decisions upon yourself, let the Lord decide whether you are healthy or not, viable or not. A little man will be born, and then it’s the Creator’s decision whether to live or not, and we will not take on too much, so as not to bear this burden and suffer from it.
