If we look at the causes of diabetes, the first is an excess of lipoprotein peroxide (blood clots). When active oxygen and unsaturated fatty acids combine, they become peroxidized lipids (rotten lipids), and when proteins combine with them, lipid peroxidized proteins, or blood clots, are formed.
This causes high blood pressure, causes abnormalities in endocrine hormones, and insulin plays a critical role in resistance to sugar. This is called insulin resistance metabolic syndrome.
The second is a lack of insulin receptors. Insulin binds to insulin receptors to secrete sugar-inducing substances, and the induced sugar binds to insulin and insulin receptors to open the cell nucleus.
Sugar and insulin enter the open cell nucleus, and the insulin receptor falls off again and repeats the process of binding to other insulin. However, if there is a lack of insulin receptors, this metabolic process does not occur and diabetes occurs. Insulin receptors are produced in the liver from food.
The third is damage to the demo switch. Among patients who have suffered from diabetes for a long time, there are cases where the DIMO switch does not work and does not respond to any medicine or injection. The DIMO switch plays the role of opening and closing to secrete and limit insulin whenever the body needs it. do.
Now that we have looked at the causes of diabetes, we would like to tell you more about how to eat and exercise. It is best to eat all three meals a day. There are cases where you only eat it once because the sugar level rises, but this is worse for your health. Instead, reduce the amount of rice. Generally, 2/3-3/4 air is appropriate for men and 2/3-1/2 air is appropriate for women.
When you finish eating, you must stop eating side dishes and put down your spoon. Also, do not eat rice in soup or drink soup. Additionally, do not eat snacks or late-night snacks.
Other than rice, you should not eat other carbohydrate foods such as bread, noodles, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, etc. If you eat it instead of rice, it is best not to eat it more than 1-2 times a week.
Foods that are generally known to be good for health are also good for sugar, but fruits are an exception. The recommended daily fruit intake is about half an apple or pear, and you can consume up to two tomatoes.
So, what is the right exercise to do when managing diabetes? Perform aerobic exercise for 30 minutes to 1 hour, 4 to 5 days a week. Aerobic exercise is a bit difficult. It is an exercise that is done at a constant intensity for more than 30 minutes without stopping.
Types of aerobic exercise include brisk walking, jogging, treadmill, cycling, and hiking. Commuting to work, golfing, stretching, etc. are not aerobic exercises. This is because it cannot be interrupted in the middle. In addition, standing for long periods of time, walking, shopping, etc. are not aerobic exercise. This is because the intensity cannot be maintained.
Strength training is good when combined with aerobic exercise, but it is best to avoid it if you have cardiovascular disease. It is important not to skip aerobic exercise for more than two days. It is the opinion of the author, an Oriental medicine doctor, that if you follow this carefully, it can be of great help in diabetes management and health management. The last thing I would like to tell you is that if you have bad knees, I recommend cycling or aqua aerobics.
