Experimental blood test finds cancer four years in advance

The earlier cancer is treated, the better the chances of recovery. This is why in recent years, researchers have been trying to develop very early screening tests requiring only a blood test. A new study published this week in the journal “Nature Communications” reports the particularly promising results of a blood test called “PanSeer”.

This test, developed by a team of Chinese and American scientists, can detect cancer “non-invasively up to four years before current diagnostic methods,” says the study. He was able to identify five types of cancer: cancer of the stomach, esophagus, colon, lung and liver.
