The new data confirmed once again that the rise in prices is far from over and continues unabated. The annual inflation rate has already reached 17.2%. This means that it is almost a fifth more expensive than last year. However, this is true of some items more than others. Especially energy and food are at the top. We will pay even more for them.
There are really cheap foods
In addition, food manufacturers warn that real price increases are yet to come. And that already in the near future, because now new contracts for inputs, such as energy or raw materials, are being added to their production costs.
It may even go so far that a lower class person will not be able to purchase what he was used to. Ordinary supermarkets literally increase their prices every week. Fortunately, there is a solution that is being chosen by an increasing number of customers.
A number of entrepreneurs immediately noticed that there is a demand for food that is available at affordable prices. Or they are even very cheap. And so on the other side they created an offer.
What are we talking about? These are stores that specialize in selling the cheapest food. They are often called that. Their goal is simply to create a comprehensive assortment of the cheapest possible products, which they purchase from various suppliers across the European market. These suppliers already want to get rid of these foods, so they sell them at rather symbolic prices.
A really big savings
The reason for this is primarily that these are foods that are shortly before their best before date. They wouldn’t have time to sell it, so they go to stores with the cheapest goods. They can eventually appear there with a date that is already past the minimum shelf life, but usually for products that don’t mind that much.
It is not one particular chain, so it is difficult to name. However, there are such stores in every major city today. Some are named explicitly Cheapest foodsuch as in Prague in Budějovicka.
We visited this store and found out that you can buy there really very cheaply. Yogurts here cost three or four crowns, milk eight crowns and other items are very cheap. “I have been coming here for several months. I’ll make a purchase for a week for a few hundred kroner, while in Alberta I’ll pay two thousand for it,” says Mrs. Hana, whom we approached at the checkout.
Individual items are discounted by at least 50 to 60%, but discounts reaching 90% are not an exception. At the same time, the range is really wide and you can buy here practically everything that you can find in a normal store.
