Happy to finally have the rain, Arlette, Mama, Zaïna and the gardeners living at UC5 opened their beautiful garden to the public for the 48 hours of urban agriculture this weekend. Sowing, planting, choosing the best time, the best location, weeding, weeding and finally harvesting, their daily life grows under their windows, at 184 avenue Saint-Exupéry.
They have just harvested their spring compost and are currently picking chard, lettuce or spinach while waiting for the rest. Like all gardeners nowadays, they watch for the clouds which allow them to better manage the watering they need and gladly welcome visitors – young and old – to convey their message: “growing what we eat is one of the secrets of well-being. Seeing nature at work is another. “.
This collective garden is supported by the RIB district management. More info on 04 72 15 04 10.
