News from our newspaper (Reporter Liu Suya, Niu Weikun, intern Jiang Yuchen, Liu Jiawen, Yang Wenjun) Yesterday, the Beijing Regional Museum launched a series of cultural activities, leading the audience to spend a different Qixi Festival in the museum.

At 10:00 a.m., at the site of the Qixi Festival event of “Magpie Bridge Enters the Painting Screen, Beg for Skills to Express Long-term Love” in the Capital Museum, more than ten spectators painted in detail on the plain cultural relics. The commentator of the Capital Museum, Yan Jing, distributed a mold of a blue-and-white phoenix-headed flat pot to the audience. The original was unearthed at the Yuan Dadu site and is currently on display in the special exhibition of “Brilliant Central Axis” in the Capital Museum. Yan Jing then explained the deep meaning of this design. This year marks the 870th anniversary of the founding of Beijing, and the central axis has gone through hundreds of years of ups and downs. It has witnessed the change of dynasties and many beautiful and happy stories. “This event combines the beautiful life path with the traditional central axis, and I hope the audience can walk the happy path with the people around them.”

At the Guo Shoujing Memorial Hall in Beijing, the audience will connect the two constellations of Aquila and Lyra, which are the location of Altair and Vega, and they will get the traditional Qixi Festival keepsake sachet prepared by the museum. Located in the Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum in Wuta Temple, the Qixi Festival activities will start in the evening. Five student voluntary guides and professional guides lead the audience on a night tour of Wuta Temple. The audience, Mr. Shi and his girlfriend chose the Stone Carvings Museum as their date. He said: “We are both very interested in cultural relics. Visiting the museum at night to spend the Qixi Festival has a special charm.”
