Combining the old-fashioned graphics and immersive simulator mechanics of Deus Ex with the “complex science gone wrong” concept of Half-Life, Athanasia adds time-traveling dinosaurs to its horror shoot-’em-up additional credit. The result is a slow-paced, atmospheric game full of carnivorous predators to fight.
If you’re a fan of sci-fi classics like System Shock or newer immersive sims like Dishonored, with detailed detailed levels full of mystery, Athanasia might be right up your alley. The locations include several tracks and feature a variety of unique dinosaurs to avoid or destroy, as well as weapons to use if necessary.
