This summer, as part of the “Your new cultural flame” campaign, the Cultural Space is adorned in pink to offer passers-by an extraordinary experience. Until October 1, the Allée de la Création, between rue Notre-Dame and passage de l’Imaginaire, will be closed to car traffic, creating a gathering place to take full advantage of sunny days.
Urban walking enthusiasts will be delighted to discover a place equipped with a 32-foot table for a snack, hammocks designed for relaxation and meetings, as well as a Photobooth to immortalize some memories. In the evening, the pedestrian street will light up, encouraging night walks. In addition, people are invited to take a break on the pink alley and identify their photos using the #tanouvelleflammeculturelle.
“It’s time, more than ever, to take over the city center and experience its festive atmosphere. The inauguration of the pedestrian street and the revitalization of this public space are part of our desire to strengthen social ties, promote a sense of belonging and stimulate the vitality of our neighborhoods. Over the next few weeks, I invite the population and tourists to let themselves be charmed by this colorful oasis located a few steps from a cultural and gourmet offer”, underlines Karine Benoit, municipal councilor for district 3 and member of the culture, tourism and the redeployment of the city centre.
At any time of the day, the sector will be highly entertaining with its hundreds of musical events, its exhibitions, and its various activities. Whether it’s to enjoy a good coffee, to visit the shops, or to relax on a terrace, there are plenty of possibilities.
Motorists wishing to access the Cultural Space may park in the public spaces provided for this purpose. In this regard, it is possible to consult the map on the website in order to plan trips, as well as to refer to the road signs intended to properly guide visitors to the site.
