If you’re planning a trip to New York, don’t miss the city’s incredible new observatory which offers you a breathtaking view of all the iconic places.
Located on the famous 42nd Street next to New York’s Grand Central Terminal station, this skyscraper is a big hit with tourists and for good reason. Also called the “mirror tower”, the SUMMIT has quickly become a must-see in the city thanks to the view it offers.
The SUMMIT, a place that combines architecture…
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is an observatory that was inaugurated in September 2020 where we mainly find offices. The tower rises to 427 meters high with its spire. It is one of the tallest buildings in New York after One World Trade Center which remains first on the list. The Summit One Vanderbilt Observatory spans 4 stories at 335 meters. It is not just a place where you can admire a unique view. Visitors are also immersed in a unique artistic experience.
…and art
The exhibition “Air” by the artist Kenzo Digital offers an artistic experience in futuristic-looking rooms. The room “Transcendence 1” is the first one you will see. It is a large glass room with a floor and ceiling covered in mirrors. This gives an illusion of infinity, which adds this unique dimension to the SUMMIT. So grab your cameras because this is the ideal room to capture beautiful shots of the view and play with the reflections of the building. The visit continues with a second room where you can see the ground directly under your feet, thanks to a small part of the building which offers a total empty space. However, you will have to wait a little (around 15 minutes depending on the crowd) to test the attraction.

Then dive into the room “Affinity”. Filled with helium-filled silver balloons that fly throughout the room, this experience reflects the sky and landmarks of New York. A fun attraction for young and old. Then discover a third piece called “Unity” where we discover clouds with changing colors on a screen. All this in front of the view offered by the building. We are then immersed between digital and physical reality.

Through these rooms, you can fully enjoy a unique view of New York. In fact, you will never see the Chrysler Building so high and up close. Don’t miss out on taking a photo with the famous Empire State Building in the background.

To go even higher
Attention adrenaline lovers, if you want to feel even more sensations, you can, thanks to certain tickets, go even higher with the attraction “Ascent”. By riding these glass elevators, you will fly a few floors above to enjoy an even more spectacular view.
A place of relaxation
For the end of the visit, just after passing the souvenir shop, you will be taken to the exterior terrace of the building. You can eat there and enjoy this breathtaking view one last time before returning to dry land.
