“Experience the Magnificent WEST SIDE STORY Concert by the Toulon Opera featuring Violinist Alena Baeva and Conductor Joseph Bastian”

To close its 2022/2023 season, the Toulon Opera is offering a magnificent WEST SIDE STORY concert on Friday June 16, 2023 at 8 p.m.

The Toulon Opera Orchestra will be conducted by Franco-Swiss conductor Joseph Bastian. Young violinist Alena Baeva will perform Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto. Also on the program is one of the most performed contemporary works, Blue Cathedral by Jennifer Higdon. This evening will end in style with Symphonic Dances from Leonard Bernstein’s masterpiece, West Side Story.

The Opera will then close its doors for ambitious restoration work. It is therefore “outside the walls” that the 2023/2024 season will take place.
