Experience the Magic of Robin Hood: A Captivating Musical Reinterpretation at German Theater

There are stories and tales that simply never lose that certain magic. They captivate us as children and always remain relevant in the adult world, making us think, feel and awaken the most beautiful memories. One of them is definitely the legend of the King of Thieves, Robin Hood, which will be presented to us from November 9th to 25th German theater expected in the form of a captivating musical reinterpretation.

World-class music that hits the heart

A tyrannical ruler, a group of outlaws and their charismatic leader who fights for freedom and justice with a bow and arrow: As well as we all think we know Robin Hood: The musical shows the legendary king of thieves as we have never seen him before. None other than world star Chris de Burgh wrote eight pieces for the musical together with the successful musical composer Dennis Martin (musical hits The Pope and The Medicus). The gripping anthem of the modern Robin Hood is de Burgh’s global hit “Don’t Pay the Ferryman” in a detailed German-language version.

Action, suspense and romance

The two German musical stars Philipp Büttner (Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Disney’s Aladdin) and Sabrina Weckerlin (Wicked, The Pope, Disney’s Frozen) await us as Robin Hood and Lady Marian. From November 9th to 25th, 2023 they will take us into the medieval world of Sherwood Forest on the stage of the German Theater in Munich. Under the direction of Matthias Davids and with the virtuoso choreographies of Kim Duddy, an exciting work of art has been created that hits the heart of the audience. This is demonstrated by the over 150,000 spectators who have been thrilled by the piece since its world premiere in Fulda in 2022. And now soon we will be in Munich too!
