On Friday, March 31, at 8 p.m. (admission from 7 p.m.) there will be a concert with the Magic Ed Combo in the Jazzkeller Rödermark Ober-Roden, Friedirch-Ebert-Straße 24.
Hot, Blues & Spicy, that’s the music of the Magic Ed Combo, which has delighted the audience of the jazz club several times. Deeply rooted in the blues, the Aschaffenburg trio professionally offers a swinging and stirring show that mixes many styles of American music into a spicy cocktail.
Guitarist and singer Marcus Ed Staab has been on stage for over twenty years and impresses with his creative and expressive guitar playing. He moves effortlessly through different styles. The “Rolling Stone Magazine” attested him “verve”, i.e. verve and enthusiasm. “Scary good” said the “Blues News Magazin”.
The experienced and excellent rhythm section, with more than 50 years of live experience, is made up of Detlef Schmidt (Louisiana Red) on double and electric bass, Gerhard “Fleyb” Philipp on drums (The Bootleggin’ Hobos), who play the music dynamically and swinging advance.
For the time being, the events will no longer take place under 3-G conditions, but everyone who is interested is still asked to wear a mask (except when seated), and the known hygiene rules also apply. The concert is part of the “Jazz im Kreis Offenbach” series, admission is free and the hat goes around.
And the jazz club continues to offer drinks and snacks, and the tried-and-tested concept of admission tickets is being retained for the time being, ie everything is paid for when you leave the event.
