The Eisenbahnfreunde Zollernbahn invite you to take the steam train from Rottweil via Villingen, Offenburg and Karlsruhe to Würzburg on Friday, August 18th. With the express steam locomotive 01 519 from 1936 and wagons from the 1960s with windows that can be opened, the steam express train starts at 9.15 a.m. in Rottweil.
Via Villingen he first drives through the Black Forest to Hausach. From there it goes through the Ortenau to Offenburg. The journey then leads via Karlsruhe and Mühlacker to Bietigheim-Bissingen. There the direction of travel is changed and it goes via Heilbronn to Würzburg. Those interested can then make the return journey in the direction of Rottweil or to the other boarding stations, for example with the 49 euro ticket.
The steam train remains in Würzburg in the evening and travels the next morning at 9.30 a.m. from Würzburg via Schweinfurt to the German Steam Locomotive Museum in Neuenmarkt Wirsberg. Starting on August 19th, an extensive program of trips will be carried out from the German Steam Locomotive Museum in Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg.
Boarding and alighting is next to Rottweil, in Villingen (from 9.41 a.m.), Hausach (from 10.42 a.m.), Offenburg (from 11.10 a.m.), Karlsruhe Hbf (from 12.11 p.m.), Bietigheim-Bissingen (from 2.57 p.m.) and Heilbronn (from 3.30 p.m.) possible.
