Experience the Futuristic Art of Hologram by Maximo Gonzalez: A Digital Art Exhibition at Paseo Gallery

It began in Manantiales, the exhibition Hologramby the Argentine artist Máximo González Devoto, curated by Jacqueline Lacasa at the Paseo Gallery. This holographic and digital technique exhibition with Fine Art printing on Hahnemühle Photo paper will be open to the public throughout the month of April on route 10 km.164.

To learn more about this curious technique created in 1947 by Dennis Gabor (professor and Nobel Prize winner in physics, born in Hungary, considered the father of Holography), The Observer spoke with the artist Maximo Gonzalez.

“This aesthetic and this work has to do with the language of contemporary art. Art is the sign of the times, not only now, it has always been and reflects the moments of the human species. Nowadays, technology covers all aspects of human activity, and art cannot be left out. It has taken, and is still taking a while, in the conventional art world to accept digital, but it is irreversible. “It is not going to destroy other art, it is simply going to coexist, it is a very current language, I have been working in digital art for more than 20 years.”

“The sample is called Hologram, comes from hologram. What we see behind is a 3 D simulation. Simulation because it is actually in 2 D and gives the idea of depth. It is generated with a holographic projector, simply a fan that rotates at high speed behind the image and emits very small, very strong, very consistent light rays and that gives this idea of 3D depth, of the depth that would be the third dimension.. It has a continuity of 1 minute 26 seconds and then it is looped that has no beginning or end, it is endless.”

“If this work is acquired, a digital file is acquired, we deliver it to you on a pendrive and it can be viewed on a telephone, on a television screen, on a giant screen or on a holographic projector.”
