Circus fans will meet in Draguignan in the Var, with ”Duel Reality”. To rediscover the spirit of the party, the new edition of the Dub Station festival is taking place in Aix en Provence. Finally, for the scientist in you, this weekend is also the Science Festival in Nice, Manosque, Gap and Marseille.
Dances, acrobatics, breathtaking painting projections: the Quebec troupe 7 Fingers de la Main returns with its new show ”Duel Reality”. The stage is transformed into a sports field, competition is a game and love is a fight. “It’s a kind of Romeo and Juliet revisited” explains Shana Carole, the director of the show, and co-founder of the company: “The public always thought that Romeo and Juliet was the greatest love story, I I see it more as the greatest war story. These two families who hate each other, I wanted to put them on stage in a sporting world. The reds and the blues are like a football match but we use circus arts to find interdependence and harmony between us, for a happy ending. »
”Duel Reality” is this Saturday October 7, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at the Esplanade theater in Draguignan, in partnership with Radio VINCI Autoroutes.
