An exceptional concert at the Center international du vitrail de Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) is offered to amateurs Sunday, June 4, 2023.
An original way to accompany the discovery of the works of a contemporary stained glass artist.
Italian Renaissance and South Korean artist
The Alla francesca ensemble presents, to accompany the contemporary stained glass windows of the “painter of the sky”, the South Korean Kim And Joong the work Three beautiful women, eyes and eyes…
music from the italian renaissance. Villanelle and other Italian polyphonic songs, between the late Renaissance and the pre-Baroque period, celebrate the theme of the eyes and the gaze, with compositions from Costanzo Festa (1485/90-1545) to the famous Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643) passing by Palestrina, Luca Marenzio and a few others, some of whom remain anonymous.
A concert entirely from memory
A concert done entirely from memory, lightly choreographedwhere each song – between scholarly and popular art – is treated as a small sketch in its own right, where three particularly complicit artists also speak here and there…
Alla francesca is composed of:
- Vivabiancaluna Biffi: singing, bow viola, program design
- Christel Boiron: vocals
- Brigitte Lesne: vocals, gothic harp
Production Center de Musique medievale de Paris, with the support of the DRAC Île-de-France. CD published by Paraty.
Admission to the Center international du Vitrail: 7 euros. No supplement for the concert on Sunday June 4, 2023 at 4 p.m., without reservation, within the limit of available seats. International Center of Stained Glass, 5, rue du Cardinal-Pie in Chartres. [email protected]
